Epiphytic plants—commonly known as air plants—are the subject of this daily “drop-in” workshop. Participants explore the unique biology of Tillandsia species, which absorb moisture through their leaves rather than roots. It is a practical lesson in sustainable indoor gardening and natural aesthetics, as students create a custom mounting for their plant. This activity emphasizes the biological diversity of the plant kingdom and provides a tactile, creative way to engage with the botanical world.
